IRVING, Texas – As a Dallas Cowboys property, the Dallas Desperados continued to uphold the Cowboys winning tradition of service through a variety of community initiatives. On Monday, December 19, Dallas Desperados kicker, Carlos Martinez, joined more than 80 Desperados and Cowboys employees,family and friends in volunteering at The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Center – the distribution warehouse where all Dallas-Fort Worth Salvation Army Angel Tree gifts are collected, organized and distributed to needy families. The Dallas Desperados Dancers also helped at The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Center on Wednesday, December 14.
Monday�s appearance concluded the Desperados and Cowboys participation in The Salvation Army Angel Tree program for the 2005 season. Dallas Desperados players, coaches and front office personnel adopted Angels – representing children in need – and purchased holiday gifts for them as part of The Salvation Army Corporate Angel Tree Program
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program has brought joy to thousands of needy children, seniors, and disabled adults during the holiday season. The program is designed to meet the needs of those who otherwise would not have a Christmas.
