How can gangs fulfill their needs in ways that minimize violence and encourage youth to follow mainstream norms? (structural/institutional changes rather than the individual changes)

Here’s a gang that started out right. I lived in a neighborhood where a creek passed through the middle of it. When kids dammed it up, every body’s basements flooded. The neighbors gathered us kids together to bust the dams. I was chosen leader of the Dambusters. We started off beneficially busting the dams that could flood the neighborhood. Anyway, I was usually chosen to be a leader. I was once chosen president of a small labor union, staged a walk out, and hid out with the Vama Margh in Tamil Nadu, India, until the heat was off. Now, I lead the spreading of suppressed knowledge, knowledge of our own bodies, that everyone has a right to know:

It is said that Jesus "descended into Hell and on the third day arose from the dead". Crucifixion forces what is called today "holotropic breathing". Dr. Stanislav Grof replaced LSD with holotropic breathing. LSD awakens brain use beyond the normal 10% by blocking the inhibitory neurons.

Holotropic breathing, and other muscarinic nervous system stimulations, awaken the brain by overriding the inhibitory neurons. The neurons of the parasympathetic nervous system are called "muscarinic" for their stimuilation overriding the inhibitory neurons like the hallucinary drug muscarine.

The major plexuses are called "chakras" in yoga. Stimulation, called "kundalini" in yoga, spreads in any particular nervous system. In the case of the muscarinic nervous system the stimulation spreads to the brain and there awakens more than 10% brain use.

The biggest muscarinic nerve is the vagus nerve. It doesn’t pass through the spine, but, its main trunk emerges from the brain in the roof of the nasopharynx. Advanced yogins have cut the ligature that holds their tongues down so they can put their tongues up the back of their noses.

This act is called the "khechari mudra", in English, the "fig gesture". This act causes so much vagal stimulation that the heart stops by vagal syncope. The yogin can then stay in suspended animation for any chosen length of time and voluntarily withdraw his tongue to "resurrect".

The blood stays oxygenated during the khechari mudra. Houdini did this in some of his feats. But, with the "water board" of the Gitmo Baptism, the intent is to fill the nasopharynx with water, enough just to put the candidate for initiation into what Dr. Stanislav Grof called "perinatal matrix three. Large doses of LSD were used for the same purpose in the "Clockwork Orange" treatment.

Is there any other Hell? Very often those who resurrected from what seemed to witnesses as death, had a homeopathic reaction from death such that the brain woke up with more than its normal 10% use, so that, this actually "hyperlife" state was called, the world of the dead, the Underworld, Hell, etc.

The mind is very powerful to materialize its visualizations as reality in the Underworld. Can anyone control all their thoughts? Things go wrong. as soon as the candidate wishes he were someone else, "zap" he body switches into that someone else, where he no longer has the more than 10% brain use, and is weak again.

But, he doesn’t belong in anyone elses body, so, as soon as that body sleeps or dies, it’s into another body he goes. And, on and on and on, going backward and forward in time in body after body, into everyone he has ever seen, for about a hundred years duration.

This was called the "aioniu amartematos", an aeon of failure", in the original Greek Bible, translated into English "etenrnal damnation". But, Jesus Christ, being God, body switched into everyone who ever was or ever will be, and on every probability timeline. That’s why He is always in you and I. This is real.

The awakened brain accesses the multidimensional universe that people with only 10% brain use are unaware of. It doesn’t have to be that extreme. Perinatal matrix one is euphoric. In perinatal matrix two, the "Knowledge of Good and Evil", as one goes into this fifth dimensional direction, the brain gets more and more powerful to travel in the sixth dimension to the probability timelines corresponding to imagination.

Dr. Stanislav Grof, in his "Adventure of Self Discovery" said that this was the real sacrament of Baptism, but, it was also what Adam and Eve did with each other, "eating" the fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil" that constituted the "original sin" so that the Cathars made this thier sacrament of "Unbaptism".

Other related stimulations are condemned as "witchcraft", called in the Koran "blowing on knots". It’s all how far you go that determines its arbitrary worth to various classes of society. It has been the most suppressed secret in the world. Dr. Grof is the first to get away with making it somewhat public. But, every Christian has the right to understand the crucifixion. It must be common public knowledge for justice.

I would like to know what first place racers average in a long flat terrain race. Also, can anyone tell me how fast an experienced biker on a touring bike(like the ones you may pass on the road) in flat terrain may go as they take a normal ride? Thanks.

The silly answer is faster than second place.
The real answer depends on several factors, mainly what type of race and how much climbing. Generally the more climbing there is the slower the average speed will be.

6. LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy – Action

The war between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance has left the galaxy far, far away in a huge mess! But luckily with LEGOs, rebuilding is easy! Play through the original Star Wars trilogy — Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi — as all three movies are re-created using LEGO bricks. You can play as one of 50 different characters, ride in various vehicles and even ride on several creatures. Our recommendation: If you liked the first Star Wars game, this one should definitely be on your list. If you’ve never played the first game, then this one must be on your list! So really, there isn’t any reason not to own and play this rewarding game.

7. Madden NFL 07 – Sports

With Madden NFL 07, innovative rushing controls allow you to control the running game like never before, with all-new jukes, cutbacks, and the distinct running styles of your favorite backs. For the first time, in a football video game, you can step up as the lead blocker to create a hole, and then take control of the tailback to smash through, jump over, or tear away from any would-be tackler as you head for the end zone. One fan raved, “Overall it was exactly what i was looking for, … the new features are all fun, and the individual camera view for every position in superstar mode gave u a feeling of really playing as the character. This will be a great game to play alone or with a group of friends.”

8. Dead Rising – Action

Dead Rising follows the harrowing saga of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance photojournalist. In pursuit of a clue, he makes his way to a small suburban town only to find that it has been overrun by zombies. He escapes to the local shopping mall, thinking it will be a bastion of safety, but it turns out to be anything but. In the intense struggle to survive the endless stream of zombies, players have full reign of a realistic shopping center, utilizing anything they find to fight off the flesh-hungry mob. The variety of stores in the mall offers players an endless supply of resources including vehicles, makeshift weapons and more. Players encounter other survivors along the way, and by helping them, acquire valuable clues as to what has happened and how to survive. I couldn’t say it better than this fan: “Thousands … of zombies to kill in a myriad of ridiculous ways; tons of things to see and try throughout the mall; great sense of style; a plot that manages to be intriguing without intruding too much on the action; and fantastic sound effects.”

9. Saints Row – Action

Welcome to Stillwater, an open-world city with attitude, a city controlled by rival gangs, a city you are about to take over in Saints Row. As a low-level thug in the Third Street Saints, you’ll do whatever it takes to get the money and build the respect and power you need to muscle your way to the top. Numerous vehicles are available to “borrow,” pedestrians can be slugged or robbed at gunpoint, and there are an assortment of missions to advance the game’s primarily storyline. Some features include: fun, responsive driving controls; excellent shooting action; impressive presentation, featuring amazing explosions and great audio; and a well-written, well-acted story to implement. 10. Hitman: Blood Money – Action On the run from rival assassins, Agent 47 hops a plane to take care of business in Hitman: Blood Money. Players will guide Agent 47 through a number of locales, including New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas as he performs hits. It’s up to the player to determine the manner in which a hit is executed, but the “rookie training” mode can show amateur assassins how to help targets have “accidents,” by pushing the victim over a ledge, for example. The amount of money earned from completed jobs varies depending on the cleanliness and professionalism of the hit. Agent 47′s paychecks can be spent in a number of ways including bribing reporters, buying customized upgrades for weapons, or paying bystanders for information. Open-ended stealth action gameplay lets you sneak around, or run and gun; beautifully crafted mission set pieces seem appropriately big and complex; large variety of realistic weapons; and great combination of action and strategy.

Electrolyte Imbalance = Poor Health

Posted by admin On May - 29 - 2011

Replace The Electrolytes You Use Everyday!

Not enough health advisers/practitioners talk about electrolytes and yet so many health issues can be resolved by keeping an electrolyte balance.

Electrolyte replacement is NOT just for athletes. It is critical for athletes but still imperative for everybody. Just about everyone is running around deficient in electrolytes. Electrolytes are essential for active bodies…this means shopping, working, driving, sleeping…you’re losing electrolytes all day and all night long.

Feeling Fatigued? There’s A Good Chance It’s Because You’re Deficient In Electrolytes!

Electrolytes give the body the electrical charge that keeps the heart, muscles and nervous system working properly. Fatigue, heavy sweating (or not sweating at all), cold hands or feet and susceptibility to colds are sign of a really bad imbalance.

There are, of course, many other signs of electrolyte imbalance and to see more information on these health problems visit: http://www.healthtoheart.com/electrolytes-electrolyte-imbalance.htm

When your electrolytes are truly balanced, there are all types of little health nuances you may have that will just go away. Let’s face it, we all have little health issues and we aren’t sure what causes them. Anyone with any type of illness, disease or major health concern should start taking electrolytes immediately.

The Usual Misconceptions About Electrolytes!

Usually if someone feels dehydrated, they drink water or a sports drink. I used to do the same. Sports drinks provide carbohydrates, which are important for active people. Sports drinks have lots of glucose in them. Marathoners, endurance athletes, hikers and bikers crave quick energy when working, so it’s easy to see why they would grab a sports drink.

Water dilutes electrolytes and creates a greater electrolyte imbalance. Drinking water is very important and honestly, most people don’t drink enough. Drinking water unfortunately makes people with electrolyte imbalance worse off. Mineral water contains a variety of minerals that upsets electrolyte balance.

How Do You Get Electrolytes?

In the “old” days people used to get their electrolytes from cooking down animal bones into soups and broths. Even though it’s not a perfectly balanced way of getting electrolytes, electrolytes can be replaced this way.

Even though drinking a bone soup broth may be hard to swallow after a hard workout or during the summertime when soup really isn’t on the menu, there are other ways (thanks to science) of getting the perfect balance that’s VERY convenient.

Beware of Electrolyte Mixes!

I’ve seen powdered mixes of so called electrolytes. There are salt tablets, minerals, vitamins. None of these will replace and balance your electrolytes.

The essential minerals for electrolyte replacement are: Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, Phosphorous and Sulfur.

Individually these electrolytes cannot provide CONDUCTIVITY necessary to transmit the electrical pulses that operate the nerves, muscles and heart! Together, in the proper ratio, they regulate the nervous system, muscle function, maintain the body’s acid/alkaline balance and regulate the amount of water in body fluids and cells!

That’s important stuff!

As an athlete and the author of Health to Heart, I’ve tried everything and will try just about anything. For the athletes reading this, Endurox and other mixes are not electrolyte replacement. They are for recovery after training and while I use such formulas, I’ve never gotten the results that I’ve had with the Life Balances Electrolytes.

While on my own health journey I came across a group of products from a small, family owned company whose founding member was a chemist.

The Life Balances Electrolytes Are The ONLY Electrolytes On The Market That Will Perfectly Balance Your Electrolytes.

It’s such a smart product that the chemist who created it made it taste sensitive, so you know EXACTLY how much you need based on taste. His philosophy is that everyone’s chemistry is unique and different. He created products that are taste sensitive based on the fundamentals of principles of human chemistry so that everyone can give themselves the proper amount of minerals, vitamins and electrolytes.

These specially formulated electrolytes are also isotonic (meaning they have the same consistency as blood), balanced, taste sensitive, and are charged. You may receive a small static shock when opening a bottle. * It’s not harmful. It’s just due to potency of the formula and the balance of the electrolytes.

If you, or someone you know is in a gang, please tell me your or thier situation. Please no names or specific gangs. I just want to know how many come from single parent families.
Thanks!

I come from a single parent family. Never got involved in a gang.

There are two bikers at a karaoke machine fighting over whether to play Katy Perry or Ke$ha and then another biker comes in and tells them to break it up and plays Justin Bieber. Then "baby" plays and they all are dancing. I think its for a music award night or something.

What is it for and where can I find it (youtube link)?

Dress Code Is New Hot Button For The Houston Schools

Posted by admin On May - 26 - 2011

School dress codes have been around for decades, but they gained more prominence in schools and are stricter in recent years in response to the permeation of gangs and violence within the schools at all levels. In addition to maintaining modesty within the schools, dress codes now ban gang paraphernalia, colors and symbols; shirts with writing; head coverings; and other such accessories that have been linked to gangs or school violence.

Though all of the Houston schools have dress codes, each of the Houston schools develops their own policy. One thing all Houston schools dress codes have in common is an allowance for religious accommodation. When Houston schools students’ religious traditions and dictates conflict with school dress codes, exemptions may be made. With the diversity being felt by the Houston schools in recent years, Houston schools principals are striking a delicate balance between religious freedoms and safety issues on an increasing basis.

One example is the Houston ISD campus, which has students from 72 countries. Principal Steve Amstutz receives many dress code exemption requests each year. His policy is to meet privately with a student requesting a waiver to discuss the matter. If the request is genuine and religious-based, the exemption is granted.

In the precedent-setting 1969 Supreme Court decision of Tinker v. Des Moines Independent School District, the court ruled, “It can hardly be argued that either students or teachers shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate.” Since this ruling, disputes over dress code that become lawsuits generally see the courts ruling in favor of the students, especially when they concern religious dress.

Though most dress code disputes remain within the Houston schools, requests for exemptions and complaints are on the increase. Charles C. Haynes, senior scholar with the First Amendment Center, studies the issue of religious exceptions to dress codes and school uniforms. He notes the increase is due to stricter dress code policies to ensure a safer environment, as well as the growth and organization of some minority groups that are becoming more vocal.

Jehovah’s Witnesses and Seventh-Day Adventists were the first to dispute the dress code policies of the Houston schools. Currently, the Muslims are at the forefront, though other groups, such as Hindus and Sikhs, are beginning to organization, as well.

Though some Islamic dress and traditions are not mandatory, such as males wearing beards, many Islamic scholars recommend them. Muslimas (Islamic females) experience problems when uniforms are required to be worn or the school does not allow any headwear. For many, they wear the traditional Islamic robes (jilbab or abaya) and hijab (head scarf). Many Islamic students see it as their duty to adhere to their religious traditions, especially around the holiday of Ramadan.

Iliana Gonzalez, a civil rights specialist for the Houston’s Council on American-Islamic Rights, fields about 35 complaints annually from Houston schools students regarding dress code. She said a phone call to the Houston schools principal usually resolves the issue. Many Houston schools administrators are not aware of the law regarding such matters, though most parents do not wish any action beyond the phone call.

A Tour to Solden Glacier in Austria

Posted by admin On May - 26 - 2011

Actually, Solden Glacier is one of the unique destinations in Austria, which provides to the Big Three meaning there are three mountains, which reach 3,000 feet, so you may observe them all here.
The Big Three keep you saved and make for the best European ski seasons. Correspondingly, the Big Three are Schwarze Schneide at 3,340 m, Tiefenbackkogl at 3,250 m, and Gaislachkogl at 3,058 m. When you come here, you will be capable to point them out from the travel map and observing platform at Schwarze Schneide.

In addition, the Big Three are so matchless for the Solden Glacier ski region in Austria, as there is truly nothing comparable in Western Europe. Reaching some of the tallest overlooks located at Solden Glacier is not very easy. In order to get to Schwarze Schneide observing platform, for instance, you will need to hike up an energetic twenty minute from the highest ski station. You will climb some 90 m but the observation provides you about 100 km of panorama overlooking the Ortler, Zugspitze, Dolomites, and Marmolada. At Tiefenbackkogl, likewise, there is a bridge where a gondola ends. You will obtain a long stage for strolling where it looks like you are over the cold and ice-covered underworld.

Mountain Bikers will find signposted mountain bike routes, special mountain bike hotels and local buses. There are various hiking paths around Soelden. From Monday to Thursday, there are even guided walks and hikes, organized by the Oetztal Arena Tourist Board free-of-charge. You just have to register one day in advance.
